Frequently Asked Questions

NO carts, training wheels, tricycles, tandem bikes, or bikes with child seats. Each participant (child or adult) must be able to ride a two wheel bike independently.
Parents will be responsible for babies, toddlers, and children who cannot ride bikes independently. There are no onsite childcare provisions for children who cannot participate in the ride.

Where will proceeds from the bikeathon go?

Can I make a donation to these causes without signing up for the bikeathon?

How many friends or family members may I have on my team?
If you are signing up as a team, you may have a total of 4 members. If you are signing up as a family, you may have a total of 6 members.

How old do I have to be to participate?
You must be 14 years or older to participate as an individual or team. If you are signing up as a family, all ages are welcome.

Will bikes be provided for the ride?
No, participants must bring their own bicycle. Each rider must ride only his or her bike.

Is this a race? Can my whole family participate?
The LeBron's State Farm King for Kids Bikeathon is not a race. The family course caters to persons of all ages so that everyone may participate. Please click here to read more about the courses.

Will LeBron be at the bikeathon? Will other Cleveland Cavaliers team members be there?
Yes, LeBron will be joining in the fun during the bikeathon. Often his friends and Cavaliers team members join but we can not confirm that they will be there.

Will there be somewhere to safely leave my bike during the community celebration?

Should I bring water?
